Stone’s Throw Farm 2011 shares currently are for sale to new & renewing members. I sent out an invitation to our mailing list this week, and of course neglected to include some important info. Here are some questions that have come up so far:

Q:  Do you still have shares available?

A:  Yes! If and when we sell out of 2011 shares, we’ll notify our mailing list and post a message here. When we receive your share reservation, we’ll send you a receipt via email.

Q:  You said I could save a stamp and drop off my deposit; will you be home later today if I stop by?

A:  Probably not, but you can use the mail slot in the front door to drop off your deposit, even if we’re not home. The front porch is locked, so your payment will be secure. Watch the ice on the front sidewalk!

Q:  If I send in my sign-up form but you’re already sold out, will I get my check back?

A:  Yes, if we’re sold out, we’ll notify you by email and either return or destroy your check — whichever you prefer.

Q:  Can I choose between Tuesday and Friday for my share pick-up day?

A:  You can indicate a preference, but at this point we can’t promise you’ll get your preferred day; sorry. Friday will be reserved for shareholders who are Minnesota Power employees unless we end up with too many shareholders picking up on Tuesdays. In that case, we’ll figure something out.

Q:  The information you sent me says shares will be delivered between 4 and 4:30 pm. Does that mean I only have a half an hour window in which to pick up my share?

A:  No; sorry for the confusion. The share boxes will be dropped off around 4 pm, but you can pick up your box anytime between 4 and 8 pm. If you know you’re going to be later than 8 pm, please let us know ahead of time.

Let me know if you have more questions!
