Seriously, start working out so you’re strong enough to carry all the good foods you’ll want to heap onto your plate at Farmers Take the Stove, Friday, November 18th, at Peace Church in Duluth. It’s the 8th annual event that benefits our local Sustainable Farming Association, and the last few years a couple of local restaurants have joined the farmers in preparing the feast. This year Duluth Grill, At Sara’s Table/Chester Creek Cafe, Jim n Jo’s Katering, and Whole Foods Co-op are pitching in.
In addition to a delicious meal, the event also features a “Back to Basics” silent auction with all sorts of goodies, consultations with famous farmers and gardeners, and even dinner for four from farmer and fabulous cook Joel Rosen! If you haven’t yet tasted Stone’s Throw Farm pork, you can bid on some of that in the auction, too.
All the event details are online — reserve your tickets today in case they sell out.
