I was first notified of the updated Google photos of the Wrenshall area last fall by Jacob at the Food Farm. He and Janaki had been looking at the new satellite views and were having fun trying to figure out exactly when the photos had been taken. The steel for our quonset building was sitting by the driveway at Stone’s Throw Farm, so Jacob asked if I knew when it was delivered, but I don’t think I ever looked it up for him. (The steel arrived August 22, 2010.)
It’s fun for me to zoom in and be able to see what was in each bed in the east field, and I thought it might be fun for people who haven’t been able to visit the farm to see an aerial view. (It’s too bad the piggies were in their huts.) Right across the road to the east is Northern Harvest Farm, of course, and if you keep panning east until you see County Rd 1 and then pan south a few times, you’ll run into the fields at the Food Farm. The wonders of technology, eh?
I was doing the same thing when I realized it last fall-as near as I can tell, it was somewhere between 8/27 and 8/31 on the basis of the bed construction we had done in this photo (assuming all imagery for the region was taken on the same day).

Ah, mystery solved. Good work.
