This morning I was pretty nervous about how my harvest helper, Tristan, and I were going to get everything harvested for the shares in time for our 3:00 delivery (considering my off-farm morning shift lasts til 9 am), but we got done in plenty of time. I cheated a little and harvested the spinach at 5 am, but it turns out I wouldn’t have needed to (except, of course, for peace of mind!). Tristan’s parents are shareholders and her dad and I have been friends for a long time, so I already knew and liked Tristan, but I didn’t know what a hard worker she is until now. She approached me about working on the farm earlier this spring,
and I’m very glad she did. Thanks, Tristan!
